what kind of people drive police interceptors?

i don’t know about you, but i like to drive fast. there are a couple of things that seriously kill a good high-speed driving buzz. the most obvious reason is traffic. traffic sucks, and there is only so much weaving you can do. half the time you end up like the white guy in office space, changing lanes only to have your lane completely stop moving. traffic is basically an unavoidable buzzkill.

the other reason is cops. i would have put cops first, because traffic doesn’t give you speeding tickets, but this brings me to the reason for writing this. i understand cops have to do their jobs and enforce the law. i don’t understand annoying people that drive extremely slow in police interceptors. in the left lane.

as much as i hate jersey, they have ONE thing right (besides beautiful women). it is basically the law that the left lane is to be used only for speeding or passing. however, around here i frequently see these assholes driving police interceptors at about 5 mph below the speed limit in the left lane. not only do they slow down everyone behind them, but everyone in front of them thinks they are a cop too… making things even worse.

i don’t really want to get into a racially charged rant about these people that drive police interceptors (slowly/badly/annoyingly). i’ll let you decide for yourself. the next time you see a blacked-out dodge charger or crown vic (that isn’t a cop), look who is driving it.

i happen to have at least 1 friend the same color as said cars, and i asked one of them about this phenomenon. i don’t know the origin of the popularity of police interceptors among the black community, and neither did he. i’m honestly curious and not trying to offend anyone.
